Yesterday on April 16, the naming ceremony of Bhutan's royal prince was held at Punakha. The king announced the name through live broadcast to the whole nation and the whole world. The name of Bhutan's future king is Jigme Namgyal Wangchuk. The king said "He is not only my son, he is not only the queen's son but he is son of the whole nation" touching the heart of the whole nation. I felt fortunate to sit near Punakha Dzong from where the announcement was made with thousands of people sharing the same emotion. I was very much delighted to see the royal family and receive the prince's poster. The whole nation cherished the day.
I do not believe that one belongs to one place. Sometimes we find more than once place to call it a home. This little space is created to share about my life as I wander from place to place.

Bhutan_Wangdiphodrang Monastery
At Wangdiphodrang Dzong (monastery) built in the 1600s which was burnt down in 2012 due to short circuit in wiring within the monastery. It is still under restoration. I am standing on the foundation of the dzong where the monastery used to stand. However, the main chamber is almost complete and we were glad that we were able to offer our prayers.

Bhutan and Britian
Today on April 10, 2016, the present king of Bhutan carried a 55kg sandlewood box to Chari Monastery which is about an hour hike from the main road. Shown in the upper image. The box will be used for holy purposes in the temple. There are many reasons why the people in Bhutan love the king. But above all, it is because the king loves his citizen.
Meanwhile, Bhutan awaits to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Britain. 💕🇧🇹🇬🇧
